Diabetes
Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by excess sugar (glucose) in the blood. It is caused by a dysfunction of insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. There are several types of diabetes, the most common being types 1 and 2.
Thyroid
The thyroid is a gland located at the base of the neck. It produces essential hormones that regulate metabolism, body temperature, heart rate, and weight. Dysfunction can lead to excessive or insufficient hormone production.
Goiter
Cholesterol is a lipid (fat) naturally found in the blood. It is essential for the body’s functions, but in excess, it can form deposits in the arteries and increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Hormonal obesity
Hormonal obesity is excessive weight gain caused by a hormonal imbalance. It differs from obesity related solely to diet or lifestyle. Certain glands such as the thyroid, adrenal glands, or pituitary gland may be involved.
Hormonal disorders in adolescent girls
Hormonal disorders in teenage girls correspond to an imbalance in the production of sex hormones, especially estrogen and progesterone. This can affect menstruation, growth, skin, weight, and mood.
Hormonal menopause
Hormonal menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life marked by the permanent cessation of menstruation. It generally occurs between ages 45 and 55 and is caused by a gradual decline in female hormones, mainly estrogen and progesterone.
